KEY CONTRACT WIN FOR DRIVELINE SYSTEMS IN EUROPEAN MARKET WORTH 34 MEUR (267 MNOK)

Kongsberg Automotive (KA) has received a nomination from a major European OEM for the supply of a "shift by wire" gear shifter system. The shifters will be used in a range of environmentally friendly small city cars, marketed under two different globally recognized brands and sold throughout the world.

The contract has a total value of 34 MEUR over 7 years, and production will start in Q2 2014 from KA’s facility in Vrable, Slovakia.
