NEW CONTRACT WORTH EUR 16 MILLION FOR THE RUSSIAN MARKET

Kongsberg Automotive (KA) has won a contract to deliver seat heat technology to a European OEM between 2013 and 2021. The contract is estimated to be worth EUR 16 million over its duration.

The seat heat systems that KA will deliver will be produced in Poland but will be installed in car models targeted primarily for the Russian market. Start of production will be in March 2013 at KA’s facilities in Pruszków, Poland.

“The Russian market is becoming increasingly attractive as we’re now starting to see a trend where global suppliers with a strong focus on technology and quality can win market share. We’re well positioned for growth with our portfolio and production setup”, said Hans Jørgen Mørland, Global Sales Director for Interior Systems in Kongsberg Automotive.
