The French defence forces buy additional anti tank weapons from Saab, worth 30M Euro

The French defence forces have through DGA ordered additional light anti tank weapon AT4CS from Saab Bofors Dynamics. Order values approximately 30M Euro.

The conracted product 84 mm light anti tank weapon AT4CS can be fired from confined spaces, which often is the requirement when fighting in built up areas. The new French contract will be delivered during three years starting end 2004.

"This contract is the third AT4CS contract from France and represents a clear mark of continous trust from DGA and the French armed forces in Saab Bofors Dynamics high level of technology especially in the field of shoulder launched support systems. The total contract value from France for AT4CS so far is almost 100 M Euros"; says Tomas Samuelsson, head of Infantry Weapons at Saab Bofors Dynamics.
