Saab and OKG reach settlement

The contract between the defence and security company Saab and OKG Aktiebolag has been terminated and the parties have reached a financial settlement.

Saab announced on 10 May this year that it had received a letter from OKG Aktiebolag terminating a contract. This had originally been signed in March 2008 and constituted a turnkey contract including the installation, delivery and construction of perimeter security at Oskarshamn's nuclear power plant. The order had a value of MSEK 392.

Discussions which have been taking place since 10 May between Saab and OKG have now been concluded and the parties have agreed to terminate the commissioned project.

In the first quarter, Saab took charges of MSEK 140 relating to the project. An additional MSEK 150 is reserved in the second quarter of 2010 to cover costs relating to the terminated contract.

The information is that which Saab AB is required to declare by the Securities Business Act and/or the Financial instruments Trading Act. The information was submitted for publication on 24 June at 15.10.
