SaabTech Systems to upgrade Göteborg-class corvette

Swedish Defense Materiel SaabTech Systems has received an order worth SEK 50 million from FMV (Swedish Defense Materiel Administration) to upgrade the Göteborg-class corvette.

The upgrade will qualify the vessels for participation in the EU forces, as of 2003.

The order comprises an upgrade of the after Fire Control Director. It also involves enhancing the vessels' ability to defend themselves from air attack, by upgrading the ADC (Air Defense Co-ordination) function.
