Saab extends flight hours agreement with Scottish Loganair

Defence and security company Saab AB has signed a new three-year PEP (Parts Exchange Program) agreement with Scottish Loganair, which flies the Saab 340.

The Scottish airline Loganair has 16 Saab 340 aircraft and the new agreement encompasses component repairs and maintenance service within the PEP framework at the Aircraft Services division in the Support and Services business area.

"We're pleased to be to able extend the PEP agreement and we're looking forward to another three years with Loganair as a customer," says Lars Brännström, Head of Aircraft Services Divison.

PEP, Parts Exchange Program, is referred to as a power-by-hour program. This entails that the customers – based on how much they utilise the aircraft – pay for access to spare parts to replace faulty units. Saab ensures that the faulty units are repaired or examined and restores them to flight-worthy condition for use under the PEP agreement.

"The PEP agreement with Loganair has considerable significance for the program as a whole," says Lars Brännström.

The total value of the agreement amounts to about MSEK 80, distributed over three years.
