Saab Aviocomp widens its Fokker 50 market share in component services

Saab Aviocomp AB, Sweden, has won another deal further consolidating its solid position as the major supplier of component services for Fokker 50 operators.

On November 14, 2001, Saab Aviocomp AB signed a flight-hour price agreement with KLM CityHopper and KLMuk in a joint operation.

Initially, the agreement will run for three years and covers 22 Fokker 50 aircraft. It includes the extensive Saab Aviocomp engineering services and smooth utilization is secured by a tailor-made logistics function. The services will be supplied in partnership with SAS Component in Denmark.

Jan-Ingvar Johansson, President of Saab Aviocomp, states that the contract not only consolidates our position as a leader on the Fokker 50, but further distinguishes our profile as a service supplier specially dedicated to the regional operator and his particular situation.
