Saab receives order from FMV regarding technical system support

The defence and security company Saab has received a framework order worth MSEK 98 from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) concerning technical system support for materiel operated by the Swedish Armed Forces during 2012.

The technical support includes support for the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV in the form of operational and technical support, equipment follow-up, proposed modifications, continuous updates, environmental technology plus warehouse operations for replacement units.

"We are delighted that the customer is keeping its faith in us for such operations, which comprise a number of materiel systems," says Lena Bergvin Lundqvist, Head of the Lifecycle Logistics division and responsible for the order at the Support and Services business area.

"The order is a continuation of previously organised activities and ensures continued production with our existing workforce," continues Lena Bergvin Lundqvist.

The order mainly affects operations in Linköping, Arboga, Växjö and Östersund.
