Saab Aviocomp wins a 200 MSEK deal with Skyways Express, Sweden

The agreement signed for five years, with an approximate financial value of 200 MSEK, further enhances the Saab Aviocomp character as a dedicated service supplier to regional airlines.

The deal covers component repair and overhaul services, component engineering as well as material supply and logistics services for the airline’s fleet of EMB 145, Saab 340 and Fokker 50. The Fokker 50 program is a joint venture with SAS Component in Denmark.

Jan-Ingvar Johansson, the President of Saab Aviocomp, underlines that he is very pleased that Saab Aviocomp has been entrusted with the task of supporting the major part of Skyways’ aircraft types.

Skyways Express is the leading regional airline in Sweden with more than one million passenger per year. Year 2000/2001 Skyways was gold awarded as "The Regional Airline of the year" in Europe .

Further to the EMB 145 this means a real break through for Saab Aviocomp’s recently launched and high potential component service concept for that topmodern type of regional aircraft as well as its other versions.
