SaabTech serves notice to 200 employees
Today SaabTech served the county labour board notice regarding 200 employees involved in company operations in Järfälla, Kista and Uppsala. Half of this group consists of development engineers, while the other half are administrative personnel.
’We have had to serve notice because several of our major development projects are entering the production phase without having been replaced by new development orders of corresponding magnitude. At the same time, this notice represents a rationalisation that strengthens our competitive clout,' says Björn Erman, SaabTech’s Managing Director.
’It’s unfortunate but necessary that we implement these cutbacks. On the other hand, the company will do its best to provide support to employees who are affected by the change. ’
SaabTech has begun negotiations with the relevant trade unions.
