Saab Contracting wins MSEK 19 order for systems installations on the XA 202 Armored Wheeled Vehicle

In an open tendering process, Saab Contracting has been selected by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration as a systems supplier of systems installations for four models of the XA 202 Armored Wheeled Vehicle. The order encompasses project planning, construction, installation, commissioning, systems reliability and environmental testing of four different versions of the XA 202 (radio link, command, jamming and direction finding). The systems installation is in 17 vehicles in all. The order also gives the Materiel Administration the ability to activate options for all versions.

"The order falls within Saab Contracting’s core business, and represents the kind of systems-based delivery the company is looking for," says Lennart Forslund, President of Saab Contracting.

He continues, "The contract is a telling affirmation of Saab Contracting’s ability to undertake turnkey systems projects from planning to commissioning."

The Armoured cross-country vehicle is made by Finnish company Patria for various functions in the Swedish armored vehicle battalion.

Saab is one of the world’s leading high-technology companies, with its main operations focusing on defense, aviation and space. The Group covers a broad spectrum of competence and capability in systems integration.
