AerotechTelub receives order worth MSEK 28 from Sweden’s Defence Materiel Administration

AerotechTelub has received an order worth MSEK 28 from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration for reconstruction of the Missile System 77. The contract encompasses project management, modification and commissioning of the target illuminating radar (TIR) and gun mounting for the system. Following modification, the system will be renamed the Missile System 97 (RBS 97).

"AerotechTelub has been working on this missile system for many years, and has performed similar assignments on the system before. We therefore have extensive environment and system knowledge, and we’re very pleased that the customer clearly appreciates this," says Peter Axelsson, Business Unit Manager at AerotechTelub.

RBS 97 has its origins in an American air defense system called HAWK. Since it came to Sweden in the 1960s, the system has been adapted to Swedish conditions and has been continuously developed.

Saab is one of the world’s leading high-technology companies, with its main operations focusing on defense, aviation and space. The Group covers a broad spectrum of competence and capabilities in systems integration.
