Dave Hewitson to join Saab

Dave Hewitson, currently employed at British Aerospace, has been appointed by Saab AB as Group Senior Vice President and will become a member of the executive committee. The appointment is a further indication of Saab's determination to continue the process of internationalization and develop the close partnership between the two companies.

Dave Hewitson brings with him broad international business experience and first hand knowledge of international joint ventures in Aerospace. In 1996 he was Managing Director of Matra BAe Dynamics UK at the outset of this Anglo French guided weapons joint venture and more recently was the Programmes Director across a fully integrated Matra BAe Dynamics having played a significant part in the integration activity. Prior to this he has held several senior appointments within British Aerospace which included being Project Director of the Al Yamamah programme, a multi billion pound defense prime contract with Saudi Arabia. His early career was in Informations Technology, providing a firm grounding in the various I T skills and management.
