Saab Contracting wins order worth MSEK 60 from National Rail Administration

Saab Contracting AB has been selected by the Swedish National Rail Administration’s eastern region to deliver a turnkey order to replace signal boxes in Björnlunda, Gnesta and Skebokvarn. The order is worth approximately MSEK 60 with final delivery in late 2005.

"The project lies within Saab Contracting’s core business, transport infrastructure projects for rail-borne traffic. It also represents the development towards system delivery in signaling and telecom solutions that the company is striving for," says Lennart Forslund, President of Saab Contracting.

The turnkey order is for electrical, signaling and telecommunications works for the above-mentioned stations on the railway between Södertälje and Katrineholm in eastern Sweden, and encompasses planning, equipment and materiel delivery, installation work and commissioning of the electrical, signal and telecom technical aspects.

"The contract is a telling affirmation of Saab Contracting’s ability to undertake turnkey system projects from planning to commissioning," says Lennart Forslund.

Saab is one of the world’s leading high-technology companies, with its main operations focusing on defense, aviation and space. The Group covers a broad spectrum of competence and capability in systems integration.
