Saab forms a new business unit for command and control systems

From May 1, SaabTech’s operations in command and control systems will form a new business unit: Saab Systems. AerotechTelub’s current President, Dan-Åke Enstedt, will head up the new unit. The new President of AerotechTelub will be Lars-Erik Wige, currently a division manager within the company. New vice President for AerotechTelub will be Marie Bredberg, currently Financial Director of the company.

"Command and control systems are a high-priority area for Saab, with a slightly different business logic than other operations within SaabTech. To create the best possible foundation for its development, we are now merging all related operations into a new business unit," says Kenth-Åke Jönsson, Group Senior Vice President, Saab AB.

The new unit will be called Saab Systems and will encompass the divisions Air Systems, Land Systems, Naval Systems, Common Technology and LedsystT in SaabTech AB in Sweden, as well as Saab Systems Pty in Australia and GrIDS in South Africa (co-owned by Saab).

SaabTech’s other business activities in Avionics and Electronic Warfare in Sweden, along with the co-owned Avitronics business unit in South Africa, will continue to operate within SaabTech under the presidency of Björn Erman.

Saab is one of the world’s leading high-technology companies, with its main operations focusing on defence, aviation and space. The group covers a broad spectrum of competence and capabilities in systems integration.
