Ericsson Saab Avionics receives order for computers to Gripen worth 22 MUSD
Ericsson Saab Avionics AB has received an order from Saab AB in Linköping comprising avionics units to the JAS 39 Gripen, batch 3, valued at 180 million kronor (22 MUSD).
The order includes development and production of three cockpit panels and two computer units.
The cockpit panels are used by the pilot to enter information and control various functions in the aircrafts avionics system, and to present information to the pilot.
The computers provide the interfaces between aircraft sensors, weapons, utility systems and the avionics system.
Ericsson Saab Avionics AB is owned jointly by Ericsson and Saab and is the principal supplier of electronic systems to the JAS 39 Gripen.
