Saab wins order for further development of Armed Forces air defense system

Saab Systems has received an MSEK 105 order for continued development of StriC, the Swedish Air Defense System, and Strics, a customized air simulator system for StriC. The order comes within the framework of the VASS project. StriC has been used by the Swedish Air Force since 1998 in control of the JAS 39 Gripen fighter.

“This is a very important order for the Swedish Armed Forces and Saab, as it contributes to the continued development of Saab Systems’ world-leading expertise in command and control systems for air defense and future network based system solutions,” says Dan-Åke Enstedt, business unit manager at Saab Systems.

The order includes continued adaptation to NATO and interoperability.
