Management changes at Saab in Linköping, Sweden

Saab is making changes in the management at Saab Aerostructures and Saab Aerosystems in Linköping.

Pontus Kallén, at present business unit manager at Saab Aerostructures, has been appointed the new business unit manager at Saab Aerosystems. He replaces Lennart Sindahl, who has been Executive Vice President of the Saab group with special responsibility for the Aeronautics business segment since the turn of the year.

The new business unit manager at Saab Aerostructures will be Kjell Johnsson. Kjell Johnsson is at present head of Denel Saab Aerostructures in South Africa.

Pontus Kallén and Kjell Johnsson will take up their new appointments on April 14th.

Saab Aerosystems main product is Gripen. The business unit is also active in areas such as unmanned aerial vehicles, tactical systems, advanced pilot training systems and simulators. Saab Aerostructures develops and manufactures aerostructures for the commercial as well as the military market, including extensive partnerships with Airbus and Boeing.
