Saab offers further industrial collaboration to Norway

In conjunction with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) submitting a tender to Norway for 48 Gripen aircraft on the 28th April this year, Saab has also submitted proposals for industrial collaboration. Today, Saab handed over supplementary reports of these industrial collaborations to the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.

“We have been in discussion with over 200 Norwegian SMEs and larger companies since Saab offered the industrial collaboration with Norway three months ago. Together, we have defined well over 150 different collaboration projects. As part of this work we have been able to identify partners across all of Norway’s provinces. In April, we could already guarantee industrial collaboration equivalent to 100 percent of the order value, but we have since seen even greater potential,” says Åke Svensson, CEO and President of Saab.

“Today, I can state that Saab and the Norwegian business community have identified collaboration projects to such an extent that we can now increase our commitment, regarding industrial collaboration projects, to at least 180 percent of the offset value over a period of 10-15 years. Our discussions will continue,” concludes Åke Svensson.
