Combitech Systems signs framework agreement with Gambro

Gambro Lundia has signed a framework agreement with Combitech Systems in Malmö for the provision of consultancy services regarding the development of software and electronics for future Gambro kidney treatment products.

The agreement is initially valued at MSEK 10 per year and requires that at least 10 new people be employed at the Malmö site.

The agreement is the result of the global purchasing project being pursued by Gambro with the intention of closely associating itself with strategic expertise in current and future development projects. Gambro’s products are real-time systems used to control and monitor dialysis treatment with a high degree of reliability and safety. The agreement is an important step in Combitech System’s corporate strategy development within safety-critical products for medical-technical applications.

"By concluding this agreement, Gambro is indicating that CS is one of Gambro’s priority suppliers. Gambro intends to place total orders with a single supplier, if the opportunity exists and it’s favorable for both parties," says Rune Thor, Software Director at Gambro’s monitor division in Lund.

Per-Ola Malm, Regional Director of Combitech Systems in Malmö says:
"Gambro is a top-priority customer, which means that we at Combitech Systems are striving to develop and maintain skills in areas relevant to Gambro, as well as actively seeking ways to develop and support Gambro’s business. The framework agreement with Gambro means that we need to employ an additional 10 qualified engineers."
