In the last few days, SaabTech Vetronics has received two orders to supply the UTAAS fire-control system to the armed forces of Finland and Switzerland. These orders have an estimated worth in the region of SEK 750 million. The systems will equip the Hägglunds CV 9030 combat vehicle. Finland has ordered 57 systems and Switzerland a total of 186 systems.

The two projects will be conducted in parallel, with initial delivery scheduled for the autumn of 2001, and final delivery in the spring of 2005. On completion of the delivery of these systems, the SaabTech Vetronics fire-control system will have been fitted to a combined total of 950 combat vehicles.
