SaabTech Electronics wins an international breakthrough order for radar warners for German Tornado aircraft for SEK 200 million

SaabTech Electronics AB has received an order for the adaptation and qualification of radar warners for the German Armed Force´s Tornado aircraft.

"The German order was won against hard international competition and represents a breakthrough for our radar warners on the export market", says Stellan Morén, Sales Manager of SaabTech Electronics’ Electronic Warfare Division.

SaabTech Electronics has developed systems for electronic warfare since the late 1950s and has suppblied radar warners to the Swedish Air Force for successive generations of aircraft. The company is also one of the world’s leading suppliers of passive airborne countermeasures.

The order was placed by the Panavia aircraft consortium represented by EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company). The end customer is the German Air Force represented by NETMA (Nato EF2000 and Tornado Development, Production and Logistics Management Agency).
